A person was found fatally shot in a central Oak Cliff creek Monday morning, Dallas police said Wednesday. The Dallas County Medical examiner’s office identified the victim Saturday as 16-year-old Venus Rodriguez. About 10:15 a.m. Monday, officers were called to the 1700 block of Brookhaven Drive, near South Zang Boulevard and West Illinois Avenue, after getting reports that a body was in a creek.No additional information about the shooting or potential suspects was immediately available.and refer to case No. 009253-2023.
