A new study has found the most popular New Year's resolution for 2023 in each state.
, each state had their own number one New Year’s resolution that residents are looking to follow this upcoming year. This was determined by a Google Trends analysis of popular resolution searches such as “weight loss,” and separated by geolocation.
In fact, health seems to be at the forefront of everyone’s minds as far as resolutions go: The second-most popular resolution — coming in first for eight states total such as Alabama and Delaware — was the goal of losing weight. “While some people have managed to work on themselves during quarantine and record-high inflation, a lot of us gained weight, lost jobs, and binged Netflix rather than self-improvement,” reads the study, “However, as 2022 draws to an end, many are aspiring for a better 2023.”
