PennLive/Patriot-News won 28 individual awards in the statewide competition, a record for the publication.
PennLive has been honored with 28 individual awards for the quality of its reporting, photography and videography in the Keystone Media Awards competition, announced by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association.
T.J. Smith won four awards, highlighted by a first-place honor for Sports Video on Harrisburg’s wrestling coach. That video was part of a package that earned him an honorable mention award for Excellence in Reporting on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. PennLive was awarded second place in the Breaking News category for its coverage of the Broad Street Market fire. That marks the ninth year in a row it earned an award in that category. In all, PennLive has received 12 of the past 26 overall Breaking News awards.
