The 2026 running back appears steady in his commitment to Penn State, but has continued to generate interest.

Penn State commit and Harrisburg High running back Messiah Mickens is seeing that first-hand.
Despite being a Nittany Lion pledge, other programs are still vying for Mickens’ services, as the Class of 2026 star announced that Kentucky has coming knocking. There doesn’t seem to be a ton of reason for concern for Penn State fans, though, as Mickens tweeted a picture from a visit to Happy Valley the day prior.
The tailback ranks as the No. 82 prospect in the Class of 2026 nationally on Rivals.com. He committed to the Nittany Lions on August 19th, but holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and Texas A&M, among others.
