Christian Brothers broke a school record en route to winning its fourth overall DMR championship at Penn Relays.
Christian Brothers Academy won the High School Boys' Distance Medley Championship of America at the Penn Relays, Friday, April 26, 2024, in Philadelphia. The CBA runners are Jack Falkowski, Conor Clifford, Ethan Fianko and Joe Barrett.
From the numerous distance runners who have qualified for national meets in both cross-country and track and field, to the multiple Penn Relays titles that they’ve won, CBA’s winning culture is unmatched. The Colts beat out Westfield, who also blazed a school record time of 10:03.62 to finish in second place.
Westfield looked to have an early edge midway through the race, as Emanuel Gayanilo put his team ahead with 400 leg time of 49.37. But the last two legs, Conor Clifford and Joe Barrett, would not be denied of another chance to win a Penn Relays wheel for a second straight season.
