: Seorang pelajar lelaki berusia 17 tahun ditemukan meninggal dunia dalam keadaan terbaring di atas lantai dengan kesan kecederaan serta lebam di beberapa bahagian badan di bilik asrama sebuah kolej vokasional, di sini pagi tadi.
Ketua Polis Daerah Lahad Datu ACP Dr Rohan Shah Ahmad berkata pihaknya percaya punca kejadian akibat perselisihan faham antara pelajar terbabit dengan pelajar lain yang menghuni asrama berkenaan. Beliau berkata susulan itu, 13 pelajar lelaki berusia antara 16 hingga 19 tahun ditahan bagi membantu siasatan di bawah Seksyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan.
“Polis turut merampas satu alat pengecas telefon pintar dipercayai berkait dengan siasatan kes,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini. Menurut Rohan Shah pihaknya bertindak atas laporan yang dibuat oleh pengarah kolej berkenaan berhubung penemuan pelajar lelaki itu dalam keadaan tidak sedarkan diri pada 6.50 pagi, dan telah disahkan meninggal dunia oleh pegawai perubatan yang memberikan rawatan kecemasan.“Polis meminta orang ramai tidak membuat sebarang spekulasi berkaitan kes ini dan pihak polis juga sedang menjalankan siasatan secara terperinci secara telus,” katanya.
