A vehicle reportedly struck and killed a man around 2:25 p.m. Monday on state Route 52 near Regents Road Monday, a CHP officer said
A 50-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash on state Route 52 near Clairemont Monday afternoon, California Highway Patrol officers said.
The crash was reported on the right side of the highway near Regents Road around 2:25 p.m., CHP online traffic logs show. Investigators determined the man was struck by a Ford Transit traveling east on the highway, Officer Stephany Perez said in a news release.The driver of the Transit stayed on the scene and spoke with officers.
