Residents in Parma Sun Post communities will be deciding a variety of local issues on the Nov. 7 ballot.
Residents of Parma, Parma Heights and Seven Hills will be faced with a Parma City Schools levy renewal, which combines two expiring emergency levies.
If passed, the combined 5.9-mill 10-year levy renewal, which currently costs a $100,000 homeowner $206 annually, will begin at the beginning of 2025.Issue 30/Brooklyn Charter AmendmentIssue 31/Brooklyn Charter AmendmentIssue 32/Brooklyn Charter AmendmentIssue 33/Brooklyn Charter Amendment Changing charter language to read in the absence of a director of public safety the mayor shall serve as the director.Allowing the city to diverge from state law regarding budgets, appropriations, deposits, expenditures, debts, bonds, contracts and other fiscal matters of the city.Requiring future charter review commission volunteers to be Brooklyn residents for at least three years.Appointing residents every six years in January to the Charter Review Commission.
