PARMA, Ohio - A local barber is stepping up and helping veterans still dealing with the impacts of Hurricane Helene .
“Our concern is the everyday people that are living here that had no idea what was coming to them. We’ve heard horror stories of people being up to their chests in mud and having to get dug out,” said Innocenzi. “What’s special about this weekend is the Amish are building sheds for the veterans,” said Innocenzi. “They built 54 of them. We took up a collection of blankets, pillows, hats, gloves, sleeping bags and essentials and we dropped it off to them inside their new home for the time being.”
