He had been committed to the Buckeyes since last February. Auburn made a consistent push and was thought to be a favorite in the last week. Offord was the final of six Parker signees to announce at the school on Wednesday. He did so with a video that included Oregon coach Dan Lanning making his pitch to Offord.
When the video lifted, he picked up an Auburn hat and flipped it forward, replacing it with an Oregon hat.Offord and the Thundering Herd will take on No. 1 Saraland in the Class 6A title game on Friday night at Birmingham’s Protective Stadium. He’s been a weapon on both sides of the ball for Frank Warren’s team this season.
