CAR magazine UK reveals the first details of the new Fiat Grande Panda
Fiat has officially revealed its new Grande Panda – an all-new baby crossover and the first of the brand’s future family of Panda models to come.
The new Grande Panda, according to brand boss Olivier Francois, ‘is perfectly suited for families and urban mobility in every country. It’s the first new product in the family, and will be followed by a new vehicle every year until 2027.’, featuring boxy styling and chunky details. The front end features a black panel that incorporates the Fiat logo, as well as some very pixelated headlights. Roof rails and SUV-like details can be seen, too.
. Performance specs aren’t confirmed for the Panda yet but, for reference, the e-C3 uses a 111bhp e-motor for an 11-sec 0-62mph sprint and top speed of 84mph. Range for the e-C3 is around 200 miles, so expect something similar for the Grande Panda. The platform is also seen on the C3 Aircross, as well as Vauxhall’s new Frontera. As well as an electric version, the Grande Panda will use mild hybrid combustion engines.
The brand is also promoting the car’s practicality, saying it can comfortably seat five inside despite its diminutive 3.99m length. This is just our first salvo of intel on the new Grande Panda – expect more info in the months to come.
