Four players and one manager from '98 fall classic have already been enshrined in Cooperstown, with another certain to join them
The 1998 World Series included five Hall of Famers: Padres outfielder Tony Gwynn and closer Trevor Hoffman and Yankees manager Joe Torre, closer Mariano Rivera and shortstop Derek Jeter. A sixth, Padres manager Bruce Bochy, will likely join them in Cooperstown when he’s eligible.
