Packers Place Running Back on IR With Ankle Injury

The Green Bay Packers are placing a running back on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

The Green Bay Packers are placing rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. To replace him on the active roster, the team is signing running back Chris Brooks off the practice squad.Lloyd was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Packers. The 23-year-old spent his junior season at the University of Southern California, where he rushed 116 times for 820 yards and nine touchdowns.

I'm excited for what's to come.'Unfortunately, Lloyd was too optimistic after the game, as he's now going on injured reserve, meaning he'll miss at minimum the next four games. Without Lloyd, the Packers will need to rely even more on Jacobs, who's tried to help Lloyd as he deals with one injury after another early this season.
