But DACA recipients, also known as “Dreamers,” are now facing the threat that they will lose both their work permits and their deportation protections due to a 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appealsin October that threatens to end the program. “Dreamers” are again living with uncertainty and an imminent threat to their ability to work and to stay in the only country most have ever known.
Ending DACA would be a tragic, counterproductive mistake. It would create a humanitarian catastrophe and it would destabilize and harm our economy.
