More than one year after prosecutors pressed charges in Manhattan against former President Donald Trump, they presented their case to a jury.
Prosecutor Alvin Bragg said in a court filing that Trump tried to conceal an"illegal scheme to influence the 2016 presidential election." Bragg says Trump falsified records to hide payments to attorney Michael Cohen for him to pay Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal and former doorman Dino Sajudin. During his opening statement, Colangelo said prosecutors will question David Pecker, former publisher of the National Enquirer, and Keith Davidson, Karen McDougal's lawyer.
