André Onana, arquero del Manchester United, salió en defensa de su compañero Alejandro Garnacho, luego que el extremo argentino utilizó emojis con la imagen de un gorila en una publicación dentro de las redes sociales, para referirse al guardameta camerunés.
El internacional argentino de 19 años publicó una foto de varios jugadores que felicitaban a Onana por detener un penal en las postrimerías del partido del martes, que el United ganó 1-0 al Copenhague en la Liga de Campeones. Garnacho colocó dos emojis de gorila encima de la foto publicada en X, la red social conocida antes como Twitter. Luego, borró el mensaje.
Onana escribió en Instagram que entendía lo que quiso decir Garnacho. “La gente no puede elegir aquello por lo que yo debo ofenderme”, escribió el jueves el seleccionado camerunés. “Sé exactamente lo que quiso decir : Poder y fuerza. Este asunto no debió llegar tan lejos”. Sin embargo, la Asociación del Fútbol ingles podría tomar todavía medidas. Onana publicó también una foto de sí mismo y de Garnacho abrazados.
