The Browns had a win snatched away from them on Sunday, but not even halfway through the season, they can still get where they want.
SEATTLE -- When Seahawks safety Jamal Adams leapt in the air on third-and-3 from the Browns 41 and headed P.J. Walker’s pass skyward off of his helmet, it sparked a whole firestorm about play calling and what head coach Kevin Stefanski should have done.
“I just play,” left tackle Jedrick Wills said. “Do the best that we can with circumstances given and, I mean, yeah, that’s about it.” The fact the Browns were even on the verge of winning a third straight game featuring a heavy dose of Walker at quarterback is a testament to Stefanski and he was oh-so-close to pulling it off.
The Browns are 4-3 now, stuck in the muck of a bunched up and competitive AFC North, tied with Pittsburgh and Cincinnati looking up at the 6-2 Ravens. They still have everything they want in front of them, but they need to get things squared away.
