Ole Miss enters the offseason with momentum after a strong performance in the Gator Bowl . Quarterback Jaxson Dart led the way, throwing for 404 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 43 yards, earning him Gator Bowl MVP honors. Dart set multiple program records during the game, including new season records for passing and total offense, surpassing Chad Kelly's marks from 2015. He also became the fourth player in SEC history to reach 12,000 total career offensive yards.
This victory marked Ole Miss's second consecutive season with 10 or more wins, a feat not accomplished since 1959 and 1960. The 52 points scored by Ole Miss also set a program record for bowl game scoring, surpassing the 48 points achieved in the 2015 Sugar Bowl
