Trooper Thomas Bee was struck and injured by a suspected drunk driver in a crash early Thursday morning.
An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper is recovering after police accuse a suspected drunken driver of hitting his cruiser early Thursday morning.
According to the Highway Patrol, Warsame A. Warsame, 39, of the East Side, was driving a 2015 Honda Accord east on Ohio 161. The Honda hit the cruiser of Trooper Thomas Bee, who was working on a construction patrol. Bee was taken to Mount Carmel St. Ann's hospital with minor injuries, according to the Highway Patrol. He was treated and released. Bee has worked for the Highway Patrol for 26 years and is based at the Columbus post.
