It’s also a chance for the Buckeyes to avenge a 35-28 home loss to the Ducks in 2021 by returning the favor in Auzten Stadium.
Both of these teams are good and I expect each to throw their fair share of haymakers. But I can’t shake the feeling that maybe this game isn’t as close as it should be on paper. This is a chance for Ohio State to validate the quality offensive line play we’ve seen through five games against an opponent with one of the nation’s best defensive line units. It should be close through two quarters, but that third quarter is when the Buckeyes have thrived this year. That won’t change on Saturday.

Ohio State entered 2024 with a loaded roster, and every result so far suggests that’s still the case.
Oregon also has a talented roster, and the Ducks have played a relatively easy schedule. Dan Lanning’s team hasn’t look as convincing as Ryan Day’s in the process. This’ll be a tight game through three quarters, but Ohio State will pull away in the final frame.I look at the matchups and I continually come away with favoring, slightly or significantly, Ohio State. And a big area that I think that manifests itself is on the ground.
Oregon is one of the best teams in the country. They’re incredibly talented and have a lot going well out in Eugene.
