An Ohio man who drove head-on into another vehicle, killing two sisters on the Pa. turnpike last week, is now charged with homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence, according to state police.
Jagminder Singh, 41, is charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle, DUI, reckless endangerment and traffic violations, Singh was driving a truck-tractor combination vehicle around 9:38 p.m. Friday and was driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes, of the Pa. Turnpike in Brenock Township, Lancaster County, according to police.driving west in a Ford F250 pickup and ran into them head-on, police said. A third person was injured, but their condition was not listed.Singh attempted to run away from the crash scene and got into another nearby vehicle, but he began to suffer a medical event, police said.
When police arrived, they were able to detain Singh and take him to Reading Hospital for treatment. Investigators are awaiting the results of a blood draw, under the suspicion he was under the influence of an illegal substance. Mariana Llivipuma was 39, according to the coroner’s office. Nubia’s age was not provided by the York County Coroner’s Office or police. An autopsy performed Monday said their deaths were ruled accidental as a result of multiple traumatic injuries.to raise money for their funerals and to get their bodies back home.
