Trent Scott caught his first pass as a pro for the Washington Commanders on Monday night.
The former Lee-Huntsville standout is now the Washington Commanders’ swing tackle and, on a second-and-goal snap at the Cincinnati 1-yard line on Monday night, had reported as an extra blocker.
Daniels took the snap, faked a handoff to another former Alabama prep standout, Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa running back Brian Robinson Jr., and flicked the football to Scott open in the end zone. Scott broke into a joyous dance after catching the football on a tackle-eligible play as the Commanders took a 28-13 lead over the Bengals with 9:54 remaining in the third quarter.Scott played college football at Grambling State. He made the Los Angeles Chargers roster in 2018 as an undrafted rookie.
Monday night’s game was the 74th regular-season game of Scott’s NFL career.
