'Ozark Needs Everyone' is more than a motto at the Ozark City Schools.

OZARK - O.N.E. Eagle--Ozark Needs Everyone--is the motto of the Ozark City School system and was the theme of an inaugural “Chancellor’s Breakfast” with Dr. Jack Hawkins Jr. held at the Ozark Civic Center Monday.

Longtime Carroll High School teacher Cindy Smith and 33rd Judicial Circuit District Attorney Kirke Adams were each honored with the Second Annual O.N.E. Eagle Award for “a commitment to serving our community.” “There are no more important leaders than are in this facility today,” said Hawkins, calling vision and values imperative ingredients for success. “You are in a position to shape lives.”

“Lead from the front, don’t ever ask anyone to do what you’re not willing to do,” Hawkins said. “Leadership is the opportunity to serve.
