It may not be until Friday that the National Weather Service is able to confirm whether or not a tornado touched down Thursday morning.
SAN ANTONIO — Officials with the National Weather Service say they plan to conduct on-site surveys of areas around San Antonio whereduring a stormy Thursday morning, but were able to confirm a tornado of unknown strength touched down in the Terrell Hills area.
No injuries were reported when severe weather swept through the region Thursday morning, compounded by heavy rain and strong winds. On the east side, tree limbs scattered the Government Hill neighborhood and power lines were downed, while roofing was partially ripped from buildings at Fort Sam Houston.
