Afternoon temperatures will be back into the 80s by the middle of the week.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - A cold front approaching the region brings a slight increase in cloud cover this afternoon as well as more gusty winds from the west. However, this is a dry front meaning no rainfall is expected.
High temperatures top out in the upper 70s Monday afternoon under a partly cloudy sky. Expect a west wind between 15 and 25 mph with occasional gusts up to 35 mph. The wind settles overnight to between 5 and 10 mph from the southwest as clouds scatter away. Low temperatures drop to the low to mid 50s.
Expect a mostly sunny day on Tuesday with a lighter breeze. High temperatures top out in the upper 70s again. Dry and warm weather is in store for the rest of the work week and weekend ahead. High temperatures reach the mid 80s each day. Increasing clouds are expected Friday into the weekend as the remnants of newly-formed Tropical Storm Francine in the Gulf of Mexico pass to the west of the region. However, this system looks to stay too far west to bring any rainfall to Northeast Ohio.
