that aims to better integrate the Auraria Campus with Downtown Denver by enhancing Larimer Street from the campus to 14th Street.
The project team is planning to close Speer Boulevard’s northbound lanes between Market Street and Lawrence Street from 3 a.m. to 11 p.m. for the staging and placement of concrete girders for the new bridge’s primary support system. The bridge was in need of replacement, and reconstructing it will result in wider sidewalks and a curbless street with patterned concrete. The new bridge will also result in a new cross-section that improves the street for a high number of pedestrians and bicyclists.
There will also be ADA-accessible curb ramps on the bridge approach and streetscape enhancements like lighting, seating, trees and planters.Related Articles
