Within an hour of that bait account being created, a profile contacted the FBI agent, the document states, explaining that Grindr data shows the profile found the agent's account by searching for the tag"parent." The target account identified himself as a 45-year-old man living in Sacramento. The two would eventually begin messaging on Telegram, which allows for more discretion.
More weeks of conversation followed, with the man believed to be Githens continuing to send graphic messages unknowingly to the agent, according to the document.
