The No. 2-ranked Nebraska volleyball team is out on the West Coast for two matches against Big Ten newcomers. The first one will be played on Thursday night.
Nebraska and Omaha play a college volleyball match Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb. The first one will be played at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday night, Nov. 7, as the Cornhuskers visit the No. 12 Oregon Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene.
Per the Nebraska match notes, the Cornhuskers have won 19 matches in a row since a loss at SMU on Sept. 3. Fifteen of the 19 wins have been sweeps. Outside hitter Harper Murray is leading the Huskers with 3.22 kills per set and 24 service aces and is hitting .245. Murray also adds 2.12 digs per set.Opposite hitter Merritt Beason is averaging 3.16 kills per set for the Big Red and is hitting .268 with 1.25 digs per set and 21 aces.
