A spokesman for the city attorney’s office declined to comment on what he termed an “ongoing investigation.” Holder, a Rollin’ 60, had not been seen in the neighborhood for some time. With construction of a new Metro line underway nearby, Al-Alim said he believes powerful interests are trying to seize the property for their own aims — a common if unproven fear in South L.A. amid rising property values.
