We can infer a lot from the announcement date. If the console gets announced this year, March is likely, given that the original Switch was officially confirmed in October of 2016. If the announcement doesn't come until next year, the launch probably won’t come until after April.Nintendo has a weird track record here. The baffling Wii U followed the massive success of the Wii. The Wii itself followed the more traditional GameCube.
