Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis join Prime Video procedural drama
Kidman and Curtis are both executive producing through their Blossom Films and Comet Pictures banners alongside Blumhouse Television, with the latter two originally securing the rights to Cornwell's character back in 2021.Scarpetta is described as a"brilliant" mind in her field, inspired by former Virginia Chief Medical Examiner Marcella Farinelli Fierro, who utilises forensic technology to solve crimes.
"Patricia Cornwell is a bonafide literary trailblazer, and collaborating with her to bring her beloved character Kay Scarpetta to life through the power of television and to introduce her to an entirely new audience is exciting," Curtis commented on the announcement.
