Nicolas Cage ’s son Weston Coppola Cage was arrested Wednesday for assault with a deadly weapon, Page Six can confirm.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department tells Page Six Wednesday that Weston was arrested due to an incident that took place back in April. It’s unclear why it took weeks to book him., however, that the arrest is related to a mental health crisis the actor suffered weeks ago, in which he allegedly hit his mother, Christina Fulton.
Fulton had reportedly been trying to console her son during what was an emotional moment before he allegedly turned on her.“On Sunday, April 28, I was reached out to by several of Weston’s best friends for assistance because they were experiencing Weston in a mental-health crisis,” she reportedly said.
