He should be an interesting piece for new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen’s scheme. Muasau is 6 feet and 225 pounds. The Giants wound up not drafting a quarterback this year. Before Muasau, they took wide receiver Malik Nabers, safety Tyler Nubin, cornerback Andru Phillips, tight end Theo Johnson, and running back Tyrone Tracy.Muasau will give the Giants depth at inside linebacker behind Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden, who return as starters.Linebacker with muscular build and an unrelenting desire to chase after the football.
Based on this assessment, don’t be surprised if he plays a significant role on special teams as a rookie. Beyond that, he probably won’t play much on defense, barring injury to a starter.
