Most people when they come in, as long as they don't have a stroller or a wagon, they can just walk through the system," says Steven Langton, Director of Safety and Security."Everybody should be able to enjoy coming here with their family and not have to worry about anything," added Langton.This is great news for concerned families who visit the zoo, including Ashley Horne, who is a frequent visitor with her family.
I think that it's wonderful that they have this out," says Horne. "I think it's really sad that we have to do this, though."when it comes to bags and coolers. Coolers larger than 24 inches in length are not allowed in the park, but they can be stored in the cooler coves outside of the gate. For smaller coolers, they can be brought into the zoo and stored at two in-park coves. All coolers are subject to random searches by security.
