🌛 Goodnight Moon. 👩💻 Good morning Zoom.
"COVID-19 is a difficult topic, especially for young children,” says Lindsay Rechler in a statement to USA TODAY. “I wanted to tell my children a relatable story – a story that would help them become familiar with their new everyday lives and within that story, touch upon what was happening in the outside world."
"I thought a lot about the contrast between quarantining safely inside versus what was happening outside my window. It was important for me to acknowledge all our essential workers for allowing us to safely stay home." Rechler originally self-published “Good Morning Zoom” on Amazon in the spring with proceeds being donated to charity. Viking Children's Books and Philomel Books, both imprints of Penguin, acquired the fights to the book and announced a first printing of 100,000. All of the net proceeds from this printing will be donated to COVID-19 relief charities.
