With The Mandalorian & Grogu set to continue where Din Djarin and Grogu left off in The Mandalorian season 3's ending, it's long since been assumed that Nevarro will play a major role in this movie.

Even then, Greef Karga's close friendship with Din Djarin would create an avenue where it had to be discussed, anyway, especially since Din and Grogu now live in a cabin on Nevarro that Greef himself gifted to them. It would seem odd for Din not to address his close friend's absence, especially with him being one of Star Wars' most honorable characters in franchise history.
Even if he cannot physically be a part of this project, The Mandalorian & Grogu's cast and crew will no doubt find a way to integrate him and Greef Karga into this story. The big screen will be the perfect way to display such a tribute to someone with a presence as strong as Weathers', and that's something Star Wars no doubt recognizes already.
