YXE Street Eats, a new food and wine festival with a county fair atmosphere, runs from Tuesday until July 16 at River Landing. yxe
A diverse selection of food and drinks will be provided by 24 local restaurants; the Cheers! section will feature drinks from 10 local wineries, distilleries and breweries and the market will showcase items from 15 local artists and entrepreneurs.
For entertainment, the festival features watermelon- and pie-eating contests sponsored by Saskatoon Co-Op, local music on July 14 and 15, and a fashion show on the closing day. The talent show is open to anyone with any kind of talent to share, Kardash said. People can sign up online through Sunday.
