There are more than 20 Dollar General stores within 15 miles of Harrisburg. The newest store in the region opened earlier this month, almost two years after the project was in front of the township's planning commission.
As of March 3, 2023, the company had 19,147 Dollar General, DG Market, DGX and pOpshelf stores across the United States and Mi Súper Dollar General stores in Mexico. Dollar General has more than 20 stores within 15 miles of Harrisburg, according to its website.
Any schools, nonprofit organizations and libraries within a 15-mile radius of one of the Dollar General stores are eligible to apply forgrants, which provides funds toward literacy and continued education.
