An ICE-powered Charger has been spied and it features a twin-turbo inline-six with up to 550 hp
A Dodge Charger Sixpack has been spied sporting a dual exhaust system. The model will have a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six offered in 420-hp and 550-hp versions. The Hurricane engine is more powerful than its HEMI V8 predecessors. It won't be long before the Dodge Charger Daytona begins landing in dealerships across the US, but not everyone is ready to embrace electrification just yet.
The standard output variant has 420 hp , while the high output version packs a 550 hp punch. While the ‘brotherhood of muscle’ still complains about the lack of a Hemi, Dodge noted the inline-six is more powerful than the old 5.7- and 6.4-liter V8s. In the Challenger, they produced 375 hp and 485 hp . Little else is known about the gas models, but Dodge has previously said they’ll come standard with all-wheel drive.
