If you appreciate the sleek and light design of Dell ’s XPS 13 laptops, you’re about to be spoiled for choice. Only a few short months after the XPS 13 debuted with Qualcomm’s efficient Snapdragon X Elite, Dell is unveiling the XPS 13 , packing Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra Series 2 processors.for its new Core Ultra Series 2 lineup.
But there are a couple noteworthy deviations to point out. Some of what’s below can also be applied to other potential Core Ultra Series 2 hardware announcements from HP, Lenovo, Asus, etc.The biggest change comes down to the sheer variety in the processor department.
Dell’s Snapdragon X Elite version enters the picture at $100 less. So, the big question will be how Intel’s new Series 2 chips stack up against their ARM competitors.Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite soundly beats Intel’s Core Ultra 7 155H in multi-core performance. Will Intel’s Series 2 offerings close the gap? We won’t know until we get review units in our hand.
Linux should also work right out of the box with Intel’s new Core Ultra Series 2, given its stellar Series 1 compatibility. Running Linux distros on Snapdragon X isn’t currently a viable option, however, since Qualcomm is still working on
