Today's weather will feature widespread cloud-cover along with a brief chance of showers around midday. The rain will mostly be on the light side. Below normal temperatures are expected for today with the high remaining in the 50s.
Warmer air will return Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately, a round of severe weather is also possible by Thursday, especially during the afternoon hours. A sharp cool-down will invade after the storms clear out. A chilly March pattern will dominate North Texas weather Friday through the weekend with temperatures well below normal. Highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s are expected. It's possible some locations could experience lows near freezing, especially to the north and west of DFW.Becoming mostly cloudy and quite cool with a 30% chance of light rain around midday.
