The NBA acknowledged in its last-two -minute report several important calls that went against the Pacers in their loss to Philadelphia.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said he expected the last-two-minute report from the Pacers' 129-126 overtime loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night to be"interesting."
The first incorrect non-call came with just under 2 minutes to play in regulation when rookie wing Bennedict Mathurin drove for a left-handed layup. The NBA ruled that Mathurin should have also been granted a free throw attempt because Sixers wing De'Anthony Melton"is not in legal guarding position when he makes contact with his body, which alters his driving shot attempt." Mathurin made the layup, but the free throw would have helped.A more critical non-call came with 15.
The NBA ruled there were two incorrect no-calls on a similar play with a minute to go in overtime. WIth the Sixers up 127-124, Maxey drove for a floater and drew contact, but no foul, from Turner because Turner extended his arm and made contact with Maxey while he was still airborne, altering his shot.
