NASCAR makes changes ahead of Charlotte Motor Speedway race with infield road course enhancements.
Preparations are fully underway at Charlotte Motor Speedway as the venue sets up for the approaching postseason NASCAR races this October. Changes and upgrades are taking place primarily on the infield road course ahead of the Cup and Xfinity Series races.Scheduled renovations between Turns 6 and 7 follow new changes to the course's layout introduced earlier in May, including the extension of the straightaway post Turn 5 leading into a challenging hairpin at Turn 7.
Charlotte Motor Speedway President and General Manager Greg Walter shared his enthusiasm for the updates, as quoted by RACER:'In just six short years, the ROVAL has created many unforgettable moments, from Ryan Blaney's miraculous victory in the inaugural event and Chase Elliott's unforgettable burnout in Heartburn Turn to AJ Allmendinger's dramatic triumph for Kaulig Racing last season,' said Charlotte Motor Speedway President and General Manager Greg Walter.
