Anna Popplewell has officially been tapped to star opposite Taissa Farmiga in New Line Cinema's forthcoming The Nun sequel.
Popplewell is set to portray the role of a widowed school teacher in France named Kate. Additionally,is being directed by Michael Chaves from a screenplay written by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, based on Akela Cooper’s latest draft. The upcoming sequel features the return of Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene and Bonnie Aarons as the titular demon/Valak. They will be joined by new cast member“1956 — France. A priest is murdered,” reads the logline. “An evil is spreading.
The film is produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, with Gary Dauberman and Michael Clear serving as executive producers. The film is currently slated to hit theaters on September 8, 2023.starred Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, and Bonnie Aarons. The film was a box office hit with a worldwide gross of over $360 million, making it the highest-grossing film of the franchise.
