Forecasters say hot beach weather may be delayed this summer in the New Jersey region.
Weather forecasters are predicting a pattern of cooler than normal temperatures in the New Jersey region during the first two weeks of June.If you’re hoping for beautiful beach weather with steamy temperatures at the Jersey Shore, you may have to wait a few weeks.
“I think cool is a little bit of an overstatement,” Priante told NJ Advance Media. “There might be several days where we don’t get out of the 70s, but we still should get a lot of nice weather and a lot of days with sunshine.”is lagging “a little behind schedule” when it comes to seeing a consistent weather pattern with daytime temperatures hovering in the 80s and making a run for the 90s.
The Climate Prediction Center, affiliated with the National Weather Service, also is calling for a slight chance of above-average rainfall in the New Jersey region during the first half of June. “There are going to be days where we’ll have scattered showers and thunderstorms — not five to seven days of straight dry weather and not five to seven days of straight wet weather,” he said.
