While the state is experiencing an 'unprecedented level of budgetary surplus,' the budget picture for many municipalities is not so rosy.
The mayor of East Windsor, who served as the immediate past president of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors and the past president of the NJ League of Municipalities, says it's long past time that the state stops balancing its budget with funds designated for municipalities.Gov. Phil Murphy and the state Legislature need to be commended for the positive work putting our state on a pathway to sound fiscal policy.
