Ferreie Johnson, 28, of Paterson, was found guilty after a jury trial in October of second-degree reckless manslaughter and weapons charges in the death of Parker Sams on March 31, 2018, on Ellison Street in Paterson. Johnson had been originally charged with murder. He must serve 85% of the 20-year sentence before he’s eligible for parole and must complete five years of parole supervision, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.
