That year, on Jan. 2, Belmar police officers were called to the area of Third and River Avenue at 1:21 p.m. after someone called to report an overdose that was happening in the front seat of the caller’s car, according to a joint statement from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Belmar Police Department.
