The new charges in Burlington County follow similar allegations in the 2023 case from Middlesex County, according to court records.
A 27-year-old Somerset County man recently charged with sexual extortion of a juvenile in Burlington County was already facing child sex assault and child porn charges in another county when the new alleged crimes occurred, according to court documents.
Sebastian Romero, of Somerset in Franklin Township, allegedly convinced a juvenile he met in an online gaming platform to send nude photos and videos of himself in return for gift cards, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office revealed last week. Romero also arranged to meet the victim in person for a “sexual encounter” and made threatening statements regarding the victim’s family when the juvenile didn’t show up, authorities said.Florida man, 67, dies after he’s hit by truck on N.J. roadway
