The man's body was retrieved from a body of water in the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest on Saturday evening.
New Jersey State Park police on Monday said they pulled the body of Frank Guadagnini, 55, of Point Pleasant Borough, from the water in the Whitesbog neighborhood of Pemberton Township in Burlington County.
First responders attempted to revive Guadagnini, police said. Divers from Manchester Township searched the water with help from local police and firefighters after responding around 7:35 p.m. Saturday. The reservoir is used for cranberry harvesting operations, the most known source of economic activity for Whitesbog, officials said.
No information about the drowning was available Monday, officials said. It was unclear if the Guadianini was accompanied by anyone at the time.The reservoir is in the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, the second-largest of New Jersey’s state forests, which spans over 38,000 acres, according to the state Department of Environmental Protection.around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. while swimming in Manchester Township at Crystal Lake, a former water-filled mining hole off limits to swimmers.
